DSMC SCHED process on AIX
1998-09-08 11:16:16
Hi ADSM gurus,
I'm still struggling with AIX (or AIX with me).
We now have the scheduler up and running.
After a scheduled backup is done a
ps -eaf | grep dsm
gives the following results:
root 13172 10068 0 15:52:02 pts/1 1:53 dsmc sched
root 20112 13172 0 15:52:03 pts/1 0:004 /usr/lpp/adsm/bin/dsmstat 11
root 22430 12672 1 15:59:28 pts/4 0:00 grep dsm
If I check the processes again after 2 hours - they are gone. No entries
in the dsmerror.log.
Has anyone else seen this happen?
Another question:
is there a recommended way to start the scheduler besides the
/etc/inittab?
Kind regards
