We have a user who is getting message

  ANS4090E Access to the specified file or directory is denied

for a NowUpToDate database file on a WinNT v4 system.  The package they are
using is called NowUpToDate.  I'm told that it uses a database package
called WatcomSQL.  I'm not familiar with either one of these.  The database
file has a ".db" filename extension.

The user can copy the file from NT just fine, which makes me wonder if this
is really a locking problem or some other problem, like permissions.  If
the user can copy the file while the application is running, why wouldn't
ADSM be able to back it up as well?  This user does not believe there are
any access permission problems, but I haven't checked for myself.

Does anyone have any experience in backing up this type of database?  Or
any ideas on why they're getting this message?
