Larry -

Unfortunately, there is no service for Win95.

If someone is concerned about Network access when he isn't there, there are a
couple of suggestions.....

1. Use the windows screen savers with a password. This works well. I am
not clear on other screen saver products - we don't allow them here.

2. You could also have the person logout of Win95, and then log back in, but
cancel the network connections in the reconnect. We have done some of this
since we limit access to only one connection per user, and some folks have a
take home PC that connects to the server via Shiva.

Unfortunately, if the user powers the machine down, there is nothing that can
help. If someone is concerned about power consumption, have them turn off
just the monitor - that saves over half right there. Of course, if they are
already energy star compliant, than this is unnecessary.

We have set up our schedule to run overnight as well, but with a slight twist
we run the window from Midnight to 9:00 AM. Then if someone does forget to
leave the machine turned on, he can still get a backup, as long as he comes
in before 9:00!

Hope this helps....

We are new to ADSM and we purchased the ADSM version 3.

We would like to backup our Windows 95 PCs. So far the documentation
that I found on automatically scheduling Win95 backups would be for the
PC user to be running the Scheduler on the Windows 95 Task Bar and DOS
window. We would like to backup the PCs in the evening when most
employees have left for the day. The problem I see is the user would
logoff or shut down the Scheduler before leaving for the day.

Is there a method similar to the Services method for NT to backup the
Win95 PC in a logged off state ?

Thanks in advance.
