Data migration from a server to another

Does anyone know if it's possible to migrate data from an ADSM server on
mainframe (MVS) onto a server
on AIX, being the servers version 1 (on MVS) and version 2 (on AIX) and
using them different device classes?
This means that all backup and archive data have to be migrated from a
device tape to another (they are different types).
