You have to format a new (extra and temporary) log file with the dsmfmt
command. Type:

     dsmfmt -help

for online help.

Afterwords you could start your server with the command:

     dsmserv extend log <volume_name> <size>

This will hopefully give you sufficient room to clear out your situation.
(E.g. run a database backup to clear your log if you are running in
rollforward mode.)

Remember to delete the temporary log volume afterwords.
