The database backups are indeed done in a special way. They do not
get
written to the normal storage pools. Each database backup needs to be
written to a new volume. Normally database backups will be written to
scratch tapes, so you need to ensure that there are sufficient
scratch
tapes for the device class that the database backup will use.
