Maybe a 'stupid' answer, but I think it is worth trying:
do a forced 'expire inventory' on the pool. I found with my installation
here that sometimes, for whatever reason, the system doesn't pick up the
values of a pool correctly.
The command on AIX is I believe (I am not running AIX here, but did some
work on it):
EXPIRE INVENTORY <poolname>
