client schedule security question
1997-04-03 10:13:57
Hallo Dirk,
Any workstation running an ADSM schedule can prevent ANY OS command from
being executed by entering (for UNIX in the dsm.sys file) either a
"PREschedulecmd" or "POSTschedulecmd" with either no command
or a null string. The intent here is to give the administrator a capability
but allow the workstation owner to disallow it.
Also, during a sign on and authentication between the client and
the server NOT even an encrypted password is passed over the
communciation network.
