In our experience, a tape mount normally takes around 30 seconds, provided that
1) There is no concurrent activity in the robot,
2) THERE IS A FREE DRIVE!
Is it possible that your drives are locked by tapes used by other sessions or
processes, or that tapes are left idle in drives for the period specified by
mountretention? (use q mount to check this). If the later is true, reduce the
value of mountretention to lower values (e.g. 1 or 2 minutes).
