Betsy, we had ArcServe (v5.0) installed when we were first testing Adsm.
We didn't have any problems.  One thing you may want to check is how
ArcServe (and Adsm) is handling files that are open.  If you set it to
retry after xx seconds it shouldn't be a problem.
