Folks:

I am getting some conflicting stories from our IBM sales team in Toronto and
Ottawa regarding the ability of ADSM to store as much as I require.  One
group is claiming that I need OnDemand/6000 as it improves ADSM to the point
that it will handle my requirements.  I know very little about either
product.  Any help in this area, in particular I would appreciate hearing
from sites that have a solution for similar requirements.

My requirements are as follows:

1.  Daily I receive 131,000 images @ 11K/Image
                    131,000 images @ 25K/Image
    These are all JFIF files.

2.  I need to keep 5 days worth of images on disk(s) for fast access
(262K*5)=1.310 M files. ~23GB.

3.  After 5 days I need to move day 1 images to tape (262,000 files [4GB]).

4.  I will need to get at these files from time to time, but access speed is
not too much of a concern. 20<accesstime<120 seconds

5.  I need to keep 5 Months of these images on the tape system.  Images
older than 5 months will be deleted and the tapes re-used.  (39,300,000
files [600GB])
