I had sent a request out yesterday for help in restoring Netware 3.12
volumes and received several responses.  Thank you.
  In connection with this, we experienced considerable delay (hours) in
time spent fetching the dozens of 3480 tapes needed for the restore.
There is no way to tell which tapes are needed so you just wait for the
next mount message on the (MVS) console and send someone to the library.

We had submitted a request to IBM (# REQ00048273) to provide a tape
pull list facility and received the following response:

Title:      Ability to create tape pull list
Response:   Response entered on 19950119 at 15:45:14
            RECOGNIZED    - IBM agrees with the request and a solution
                            appears to be a desirable objective.
                            A solution, however, may not presently
                            appear feasible or implementable.
                            No IBM commitment is made or implied
                            as to the eventual delivery of an
                            acceptable solution.

Can anyone, IBM or otherwise, provide an update on this ?   To other
customers who agree this is important, your support in responses to
this forum will be appreciated.
