what tsm clients can be used with aix 6.1

Hello to all,
I have a question/problem with a client running aix6.1. I am forced at the present time to support a tsm server running 5.2 I have searched around the IBM site and have only found out that tsm ver5.5 is supported. Has anyone loaded say TSM version 5.3 or 5.2 on the os?

I know TSM is really good about using older client versions then the server except for storageagents and I have many windows clients running TSM clients at 5.3 with no problem.

Do I need TSM server 5.5 to support this client? the only other solution at least for the near term is to export the file systems to another TSM client running 5.3 and backup thru that client but... that is my last resort. any suggestions?

To All,
I have found AIX 6.1 will allow for the install of the TSM 5.2 client so I have used it with out issues. yes it's unsupported but the backups do work with this client.

I'd test the restores too to be sure you are in good condition...
