Is any one there as frustrated as I am with IBM's new Web interface (ISC)?

What used to take me 5 minutes to do now takes from 20-30 minutes. It

is slow, the interface is unfriendly and it dies constantly. I am considering

replacing TSM.

Hi

We are all frustrated with the ISC but not at the level where we want to replace TSM with another product. Here is some good news for you. The TSM 5.2 Web interface is still available for you to use - and it's also coming back in the next 5.3 release as well - do to popular demand.

So do not get discouraged - download the "Transition GUI" I call it. Configure it accordingly based on the ReadMe attached to it - and you'll have your TSM GUI back.

Then you can use the ISC at your leisure - perhaps for personal training.

You can also place the ISC on a larger server with more memory - since it is a resource hog.

Lastly, there is the command line via the Admin Interface (dsmadmc). Where I think most of you work is done anyways - eh??

Hope this changes your mind. TSM is one of the better products to use and alot cheaper too. There is plenty of talent here on this forum - so fire away with your questions, concerns comments etc.....We are here for you

Good luck

Steven
