I'm wrapping up a project to have the Web client available on all our servers and give access to our operations center team (via client access privilege) so they can run manual backups if a scheduled backup fails.
I wanted to pose a question based on a statement someone here had heard a consultant say - that having someone with client access privilege backup the server under their account would encrypt the data?? It doesn't sound right to me, so I wanted to put this on the forum for clarification. I do not want to jeopardize the data by causing it to be unavailable for restoration. Are there any gotchas to allowing them client access privilege to backup data via the web client?
