We have a Linux VMware ESX Server V1.5.2 version 3.2 in our environment. Last week the latest patch from VMWARE was applied to the server. Since then, the scheduled backup job returns a missed status with the following actlog entry:
ANR2716E Schedule prompter was not able to contact client COMPUTERNAME using type 1
The services have been restarted on the box but we still get the same issue. I can manually connect to the box and run a backup using the TSM Web Client GUI.
We are waiting to here back from VMWARE on this. However, if any of you have experienced this kind of issue before, let me know.
By the way, we are using TSM 5.1.51 on both the TSM server and the ESX server.
