Dear reader(s),
It seems that IBM Spectrum protect has programmed a new (enabled by default) feature since 8.1.2.0 to add VMware Guest notes.
Personally I dislike the fact that this specific feature is enabled by default, when updating a TSM client.
Fortunately, there is a (limited) possibility of either adding or removing them according to this article (all or nothing): http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg22008767
testflag VMLASTBACKUPSTATUS:"NONE"
Now we want to enable the option but also to want to control it, thus move it to a VMware annotation of its own, e.g. “Backup”.
Does anyone know if there is a known ETA in which TSM client version we can do this or is there another (hidden) testflag?
Ps. We are running 8.1.4.0.
Thanks in advance!
