I have been Struggling with same issue for awhile now
We have TSM V 7.1.1 for VE and we have Flash Copy Manager V 4.1 on random days the backup for some VM would fail with the following error
ABC_I1 ALERT at 09/18/2017 10:17:13 for message: ANE4174E (Session: 0, Node: ABC-VC-1_DC1) Full VM backup of VMware Virtual Machine 'ABC-Test-02' failed with RC=65344 mode=Incremental Forever - Incremental, target node name='ABC-VC-1_DC1', data mover node name='ABC-TSM-1_DM1'
the log on the Data mover shows the following
09/18/2017 10:17:00 ANS4164W Compression is currently enabled, but the virtual machine backup for 'ABC-Test-02' is not compressed because client-side deduplication is not being used.
