I have done virtual node restore through the command line but I am wondering if I can do the same using the TSM web GUI? And if I can, how do I configure it?

You mean when you want to restore files on behalf of a different node?

Well, something like that. I currently do this through the command line and I'll restore a file or files located on one node to a different node.

So this should help you:

Don't know why it's in a TSM for Space Management document but it applies to the TSM BA client and should work if you granted the right permissions:

Restoring or retrieving files from another client node
After users grant you access to their files on the server, you can restore or retrieve those files to your local system.

You can display file spaces for another user on the server, restore the backup versions of files for another user, or retrieve the archive copies for another user to your local file system, by following these steps:

  1. Click Utilities from the main window.
  2. Click Access Another Node.
  3. Type the node name of the host workstation of the user in the Node name field and click Set.
Hope this is what you are looking for.
