Upgradation of TDP Version

Dear All

I have TDP 5.3.2 on oracle and TSM API CLient 5.3.
I want to upgrade to version 5.5.0.0
Do I need to uninstall older version before installing newer version.
Can anybody provide steps to do an upgradation.
