Unknown error message on Client

good day,

does anyone know what this error means? I am on a windows 2000 server, trying to start the TSM client acceptor service and am getting this error in the DSM error log.

Unable to open Acknowledgement Mailslot '\\.\mailslot\client', dwRC = '2'.

I have search the internet and this forum and it seems to be an unknown error, hopefully someone here knows what the heck this means...
I am thinking it has something to do with communications, but am out in left field on what it may be

Have you tried upgrading your client?
One of the posts mentions that may help...
