uninstalling the TSM Client

Hello,

Is there a proper way to uninstall the TSM client from a Windows server? I know
You can go to the control panel and use the ADD/Remove programs utility which would
remove the client. What about the Tivoli directory isn

You can use the same setup utility to install the client - simply select the remove radio button.
This actually is a cleaner way of doing it because it cleans the registry as well

When uninstalling the client by doing it that way sgabriel, does it remove the scheduler service? If not tsmhelum, use the client wizard to remove the tsm scheduler service before you remove the client.

yes - its supposed to - but its always nice to go behind it and verify - Good catch

It removes the scheduler, but I don't think it removes the acceptor if one is installed. At least I couldn't find the option for the 5.4 client.

When uninstalling.. be aware to stop all services on a windows box... i got a lot of problem uninstalling while the services were running... Just create a batch file to stop your services than unninstall the client.
