I had installed the packages following the instructions.Still the web console is not working.Do i need to do some settings to make it work fine.

One more querry is how to start the TSM server in silent mode in AIX.

The parameter for "don't spam stdout" is "quiet" with no "-".
After installation you should find a shell script in /usr/tivoli/tsm/server/bin called rc.adsmserv. What it usually does is set some environmen stuff (ulimit -d unlimited), change to the server directory and fire up dsmserv quiet.
