tsm tape unmounted but still associated to session?

Hi!

I have a strange situation.

- A TDP-Session (say session1) uses 2 Tapes (tape1 and tape2)
- after a while tape 1 gets unmounted
- tape 2 gets mounted.

- some hours after unmounting tape1 the process "backup storagepool" requires tape1 but does't get it for 20 hours (media wait).
- now session2 from the tdp-node requires tape1 as well and now the really strange part starts:
- session1 (which had already unmounted the tape) failes!!! because session2 needs tape1.
- after session2 has finished, the tape is available for the storagepool backup process



No Clue :/
Any Idea but calling the TSM Hotline?

Server Version is 5.4.3.0.
+ DP for Win32

maybe

just a last idea..

could it be possible that session1 "keeps" the volume until the verify is done?
so that the problem is that both sessions write on the same tape?

weird:
"move data tape1"
leads to:
Current Input Volume tape2
Current Output Volume tape3

after tape2 is empty
Current Input Volume tape1
Current Output Volume tape3

strange? normal? confused?
