Hi Guys,
My customer has just come up to me with a request to run TSM SAN Storage Agent on some Linux x86 blades within an HP C9000 Blade chassis to protect a few large databases in a RAC cluster.
Is anyone running a SAN Storage Agent on an HP (C7000) blade? I'm a little concerned about the virtualised IO/shared fibre access that I believe these blade centres run with - obviously, I'm going to insist they segregate disk and tape traffic, but with virtualised HBAs I'm a little unsure of where I stand.
To clarify, the Linux servers each have their own blade, there's no OS virtualisation going on for them, so this article doesn't seem to apply: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=0&uid=swg21239546
Can anyone offer any guidance or experiences...?
Thanks,
