Hi,
I'm running tsm Version 4, Release 2, Level 2.6 on windows 2000 with a scalar 1000 with 2 LTO tape drives.. I've recently started getting mount errors when trying to mount scratch tapes in the drives
ANR8302E I/O error on drive DRIVE2 (MT2.0.0.3) (OP=OFFL,
Error Number=21, CC=0, KEY=02, ASC=04, ASCQ=02,
SENSE=70.00.02.00.00.00.00.1C.00.00.00.00.04.02.00.00.1-

.00.00.00.00.00.00, Description=An undetermined error has
occurred). Refer to Appendix D in the 'Messages' manual
for recommended action.
16-09-2003 09:51:59 ANR1404W Scratch volume mount request denied - mount
failed.
I've googled for the error message and a couple posts suggest upgrading to a newer version of tsm.
I've noticed that under windows device manager the scalar 1000 now appears as a unknown medium changer. I'm pretty sure it used to say scalar 1000.
Any hints on how to proceed would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
