TSM Database backup - Best Practices

1) I would like to ask here that whethere I can use a single tape for Full dataabase backups and incremental database backups after that?

2) Any good document for taking care of TSM databaes?

I am planning to use administrative schedules to backup database daily.

A tape can be used for 1 TSM database backup and 1 backup only. TSM database backups that are written to tape can not be appended to in any way. Once created, there must always be at least 1 tape used by a TSM database backup. (you can't expire your most current TSM database backup)

Databases on clients like Oracle, MS SQL, DB2, etc can be appended to tapes. This is data just like any other data that TSM handles and can be placed anywhere that TSM can access and management classes allow.
