Hi,



I'm trying to install thsi version of the TSM client:



Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) README

AIX 5L 5.1 PPC 64bit Backup-Archive Client



Version 4, Release 2, Level 3.3 PTF IP22563_3

FIXTEST 3



My current level of AIX:

bos.rte.install 5.1.0.50 COMMITTED LPP Install Commands

# oslevel -r

5100-02



Can I instlal the 64bit client when I b"believe" my vurrent instlal defaulted to the 32bit kernel?



Please advise asap!

It depends.....



upon what hardware your installing the client on. An F50 is a 32bit only box while a new 615 is a 64bit box. Therefore, you need to check you hardware before install to know the answer. If you hardware supports the 64bit mode, make sure you are running in 64bit mode by checking the link to you unix kernel in the root directory.
