tsm and ultrium-2 drives

Hi all,



We just got an IBM 3583 Library with 2 Ultrium-2 drives installed. We plan on using Windows 2000 Server to control the library. We installed TSM 5.15 on the server, we were able to label all the tapes but always get "not enough mount point" error when trying to archieve files. Then we found that TSM does not recognize the Ultrium-2 drives. We had used similar tape library with Ultrium-1 drives without the same problem.



Is this a TSM version issue, or is this something else? Any comment is welcome.

What kind a recording format parameter in lto device class that you define ?

How do U know that tivoli couldn't recognize the ultrium 2 drive ?





May be You have to refresh the library, drive, library path and drive path in TSM.
