Hello everyone.
I've just upgraded our TSM 5 server to TSM 6.2 successfully (different machines method, Windows platform).
Here is my "problem": every day I run a full DB backup on two different device classes (disk and tape).
The process ends successfully but I can't see any sign of it in both media: the disk device is empty and none of the library volumes is marked DbBackup.
The volume history for the database backups is also empty.

What can I check?

Regards,
Alessandro

Hi,

show us the activity log ("q act" command output after you run the DB backup).
I have seen that wrong DB2 API setting caused DB backup to think it is a "normal" DB2 node, so the backup went to stgpool, not to DBBackup volumes.

Thank you for your reply.
I just checked every configuration step as reported in the "Manual Configuration" section of the Installation Guide and found that I was missing the DB2 variable DB2_VENDOR_INI.

Once set, the backup really completed successfully.

Please note that I configured all the environment with the wizard...

Bye
A.
