TSM (5.3.3) Client Installer Interupted

OS: Win2k

TSM Client: 5.3.3



Getting an error message "Installer Interrupted" when attempting to install the

client on a Win2K box.



Reviewed this artical from IBM for the 4.x client, but I am not getting the '1603'

So I decided to go back one level down to 5.3.2 and the installer worked, fine and

dandy for now, but I want to get all my WIN boxes to the same level of client.



Any one else run into this or have a fix?

Hi astrotrain,



just a guess: check out your version of Windows Installer (you can find msiexec.exe in %systemroot%\system32), it might be outdated. If the version says 2.x or above, it should be okay.



And your system should be at least Windows 2000 with SP2 - but since TSM Client 5.3.2 has the same requirement (W2KSP2) and can be installed... well, this should not be the problem.



Is there any logfile with further information why the installation aborts?
