Trying to setup automation for TDP for exchange, but I have not been able to get it to work. It is a cluster enviornment, so here is what I have:
AFNBLXMALVS - Virtual Server
AFNBLXMAL4 - Physical server (active)
AFNBLXMAL5 - Physical Server (passive)
the node AFNBLXMALVS is registered to TSM, and associated with the command schedule.
The B/A client and the TDP client are installed on both physical machines, and are in the default directory.
The command file is on a shared drive.
here is the command used to install the scheduler service:
Dsmutil inst /name:”TDP for Exchange Scheduler” /node:afnblxmalvs /password:abc123 /autostart:no /clientdir:”c:\program files\tivoli\tsm\baclient” /optfile:”c:\program files\tivoli\tsm\tdpexchange\dsm.opt” /startnow:no /clusternode:yes /clustername:afnblxmalvs
The schedule will run at the assigned time, but will fail. The only thing I can see is a backup failed RC1207 message in the error log.
Manual backups are working fine, but need to get this automated.
Does anyone have some decent documentation on this?
