TDP for Exchange 5.2.2

We have an Exchange Server 2000 and we ary trying to run incremental backups of a exchange server but some reason, the incremental will only work after I have done a full backup, but it only works once, and then never works again.



This is the error I am getting at the log:



10/22/2004 09:34:45 Backup of storage group Empleados failed.

10/22/2004 09:34:45 Some log or patch files are missing.



10/22/2004 09:34:57 Retrying failed backups...

10/22/2004 09:35:14 Backup of storage group Empleados failed.

10/22/2004 09:35:14 Some log or patch files are missing.

Since the logs report "some log or patch files are missing", have you tried removing, then re-installing the TDP agent?



Do that and keep us updated on what happens.

Doing some researching it looks like there is a problem with the Exchange Database, and it seems that they need to do a defrag after doing a full backup, but this implies that customer has to shutdown the server to do the defragmentation, so they are lookin at other possibilities of doing the backups without using the TDP for Exchange
