tdp for domino x linux

hi!!!
when start the tpd for mail and switch for nsf database i receive this message:

"ANS1602E THE DOMINO PLUGIN OPERATION FAILED BECAUSE THE PREFERENCES FILE WAS NOT FOUND"

how solve this problem?
