command 'move data fc0195l5 reconstruct= yes'
when i check wheather the data has moved by using command 'q actlog s='fc0195l5'

FLETCH_1. (SESSION: 291850, PROCESS: 286)

Look if it was checked-in correctly.

"query libvolume FLETCH_1 FC0195L5 f=d" ???

ya tried but dint make any change

I asked do you see that volume in libvol. Paste the output of that command.

Hello Tariq i have solved the problem used "Restore Volume" that took care of everything
It restored all the data from various volumes and made the volume fc0195l5 as destroyed
Thank you for your support hope you will help me in further

when i tried using this error message i got the following message
ANR8312E
Volume volume name could not be located in library library name.
Explanation:
The designated volume cannot be found at its expected location in the given library.
System action:
The operation fails.
User response:
Perform an AUDIT LIBRARY operation on the designated library, which forces the server to reevaluate its inventory information for volumes in the library.
this is what i think:-
The tape is in the library and TSM knows about it. the only think is TSM is showing different element address and LIBRARY GUI is showing different element address(i think TSM thinks the tape is in a different slot than LIBRARY). I am planning to use LIBRARY GUI to remove the TAPE and use command "checkin libvol FLETCH_1 FC0014L5 status=private" to let LIBRARY GUI and TSM make the volume be placed in same slot. Will this work or should i AUDIT LIBRARY. I need your suggetion.

Looks to be element address mismatch only.

When your library is idle, do an audit library using checklabel=barcode (if no luck, try checklabel=yes then), this should work.

If by any chance something stopping or its not working, yes, you can use the method of moving out the tape from GUI and then check-in again. For that, first you need to "virtually" check-out the tape from TSM library inventory "checkout libvolume <library> <volume> checklabel=no remove=no"

Hope this helps!

thank you tariq i will try to audit library on sep 18. so i will let u know then. thank you so much dude
