Subfile Backups

anyone has any success on using this . we have a cable modem in one office with some large files and thought that this might work

Yes, I have been using subfile backup for quite some time now. Our main Tsm server is in Toronto and I am backing up two servers in Montreal to our library here. One server is a Domino server and the other is a file server. The Domino has some large email files and so far there has been no issues. Restores are transparent and performance is quite good.



Our normaly daily incremental backup of the Domino server without subfile backup took over 9 hours. Once I implemented the subfile backup, this dropped to around 2 hours.



It is something you should try. :grin:
