steps to register licenses?

Hi.

Are there any special steps to register client licenses? technically, TSM will work either way, but i started wondering what was going on when i checked the licenses on the server.
For example, our TDP for Oracle shows let's say 5 In Use, but 0 Licensed. Yet, we have paid for them. I downloaded the software from our Passport site and there is an agent.lic within the installation directory of the TDP for an Oracle server. Do i need to copy that file to the TSM server?

I tried to update the Licensed information but i get an error saying the oracle.lic file cannot by found...
Server TSM is an AIX box and so are the Oracle clients...

Any inputs appreciated.

Yep, and i tried register license file=.../oracle.lic number=10 and nothing different happens...
Running TSM 5.3.5, Extended Edition.

Im assuming this is an older version of TSM because the newer releases have eliminated the need to register licenses by file name - rather simple wilcard the licenses with *.lic
And the three primary licenses will register. From that point you are on the honor system with IBM.
The agent.lic file only needs to be on the client.
