Starting webclient doesn't work

Hello,



I'm trying to start the webclient daemon on a linux machine.

We're using TSM client 5.2.4.5



As soon as I run "dsmcad" (as root) it generates the following error in dsmerror.log :

Cannot open /dev/console: Permission denied



After this dsmcad exits, so it is not possible to access the webclient on port 1581.



Any suggestions? I'm clueless!

Are you running any kind of TCP port restricting software? or any kind of firewall on the box? if thats what you are, that could be it...
