Speeding up the process of restoring!! URGENT! IMPORTANT!!!

Hi,



We need to find a means of speeding up the process of restoring a node.



We have lost a very important node of about 800 GB and we need to restore as soon as possible.



Sb knows any way to speed up the process?



We are restoring from Tape and we have incresed resourceutilization and maxmountpoints parameters but it doesn?t help because we are restoring to the same disks and it doesn?t use tapes simultaneosuly, it uses a tape each time.



We are in a hurry!! Help please.

if you have the possibility, you should do a move nodedata to a Dasd-Pool( disk or sequential file).

My experience is, though the overhead with the move nodedata, the restore is

2-3 times faster (tried it on seq. file).
