We are having a problem with space reclamation. Receiving this error over and over again:

ANR1173E Space reclamation for offsite volume(s) cannot copy file in storage pool storage pool name: Node node name, Type file type, File space filespace name, File name file name

Seems like for the last week our library will checkout tapes that need to go to the vault and will then turn around and say they are required in the library for use.

We are getting these errors as well

Not sure what is going on and the easiest way to resolve it. I looked up one of the error messages and it said to see if there was a pending restore outstanding. I did this an there isnt.

Does anyone have an idea?

Are you sure those tapes are in library? If they are not, do checkin libvol to those volumes. If they are, check volume status. It should be readwrite or read only that reclaim process could be done. Do update libvolume to change volume status

That seemed to be the issue. I did a physical inventory of our offsite tapes and there were numerous ones that should have been onsite. I checked them in and everything is working great.

Thanks for your response.
