SNMP subagent ?

Hi!



The admin reference guide for TSM states, that the SystemView agent for Windows 95/NT/2000 can be downloaded at http://www.tivoli.com/support/sva/ - I've been searching the site, but not been able to locatethe file for download anywhere. Does anyone have more precise info on where I can locate the needed installation-files ?

We also tried to install the SNMP agent but to no avail.



The reply we got from IBM was:

TSM no longer supports SNMP in win 2000/nt due to it being an insecure protocol.





PS. If you find a way to make it work, I will be happy to hear about it

Hmm... If it is considered insecure on NT/2000, then it should/must also be insecure on all other platforms (since SNMP is an RFC-defined standard) - unless it is beacuse IBM has chosen not to fix the SystemView agent on NT/2000 for the exploit, that was discovered in most SNMP implmentations over a year ago...



Honestly, I'm rather dissapointed, if that is IBM's official answer....
