Hi,
For his VMware environment, my customer is using Netapp for primary data and also for storing a first backup copy on the second site. he has already implemented SnapManager for VI, but I am not sure what version. TSM is present in this environment, but with a reduced role, basically protection against disaster by placing backups on tape and exporting them.
What are the advantages of using TSM for VE version 6.4 instead of SnapManager for VI ? More efficient, faster restores, easier to use ?
We can assume that license cost is not an issue in either case.
