Hello,
I have a problem with performance of Oracle restore through TDP. Backup is made on one machine with RMAN + TDPO 5.5.1 + Storage agent 6.1 to tape. TSM is 6.1.3.4. RMAN makes autobackup of control file.
Restore on other machine basically works but it takes like 30-40 mins to recover controlfile. So pretty much when I start RMAN recover script is says he is looking for control file, there is a pause of 30-40 mins until he tracks it down and then restore works quite fast. DBF files are restored quickly.
Is this normal for controlfile tracking to take so long ?
When I look at TSM actlog during controlfile restore, TDPO opens a session every 5s and closes it immeadiately.
Any suggestions ?
Thanks
