Hi...

I have been getting this error on my Windows Server for the last couple of days...

sessSendVerb: Error sending Verb, rc: -50
sessSendVerb: Error sending Verb, rc: -50
sessSendVerb: Error sending Verb, rc: -50

TSM Client Version: 5.4.0.2
Windows Version: Windows 2003 Server Enterprise Edition - Service Pack 2

Prior to this error we were not able to open the TSM GUI on the browser window through port 1581 and it gave the following error:

ANS2600S Browser trying to establish connection to client ; received socket exception: java.net.socketException; Operation Timedout : connection: could be due to invalid address

We have added Webports line in the opt file but still the problem s not resolved... :-(

Any help please..!!!!!

first upgrade your tsm client newer version. what is changed in couple of days ago? windows update?

Hi...

Recently there were some Firewall rules implemented at the client side....This is the only change that has been done....!!!!

Any after effects of this change is causing such problems..???

yes :)
this is tcpip communication issue... open tcp 1500 for both directions and 1581 on client side

Hi,

To confirm it is a firewall issue, you need to try telnet <Ip or tsm server name> <tcp port No.> and check whether it connects to tsm server, if it fails then your firewall change caused the below issue. Check with you firewall team and open the 1500 port and should be bi-directional. Hope this helps
