Server media mount not possible

hi,

I have a TSM 5.2.2, with VTL, and I take a Lan-Free backup.

Recently, i received a error missatge, becose the client can't mount a backup.

This backup have 2 mount points and the mount point of storage agent.

in description of the client in TSM, this have 3 máxim mount points allowed, in totally, I have 13 drives, 3 of this drives are online for this Lan-Free and for other TSM backups and TSM schedules.

This weekend The backup run, but it's failed, and the error indicated in the missatge:

"server media mount not posible"

At the time of the backup run, the drives were online and not occupated, only one drive was verifing a label of a volume at the time of the error apear.

I don't see the cause of the error,

any ideas?

Being a VTL, have you hit max number of virtual tape volumes on the VTL or the max number of scratch tapes on stg pool in TSM?

Hi,

Verify whether you have defined the path to the drives properly. Correct srce name and destination name should have been given while defining the path.

If the values defined in the path are wrong, at the time of backup the drive will go to offline.
