Had a tape drive replaced recently in 3583 scsi library and firmware updated...went through process of removing and redefining library and paths... checked in tapes to scratch and private (in that order) through the bulk entry/exit port. Backups are running just fine for about a week now and have even restored some files.
Problem is this: when running q libv (I have only one library), there are numerous scratch volumes that show up that do not show up when q vol is run. Is this normal? I'm obviously a bit of a noob, and I don't recall this happening before. If this is not normal, what to do? Do I need to checkout the tapes and label them?
Thanks
