After restoring the system object (that includes open files) and rebooting a ms-client we have a lot of (>200) temporary files .\system32\TMPxx.TMP. None of the open files will be overwritten! No errors in the TSM logs or OS event logs.
The TSM client seems to populate the registry key PendingFileRenameOperations correctly while restoring open files, but then it overwrites / erases this key, so that OS doesn't rename/overwrite the open files.
Client : MS W2k Adv. Server Eng. SP3 + some security Patches
TSM Client : v.5.2 0.0
TSM Server: v.4.3.2 Solaris 7/8
Does someone have such experience? The IBM support has no idea yet.
Thanks in advance!
Marat.
