Hi,

With a linux TSM client is it possible to restore a file saved with a W2K client ?:

for example on the linux machine - let's say node_linux - I can't use a :

dsmc query restore -fromn=node_w2k "C:\test.txt"

Access was granted for the node_linux on node_nt and I've tested with *, *.*, C$, \\, \\\\, ...

Another remark : the command:

dmsc query filespace -fromn=node_linux

works on node_w2k (I can see a list of the different linux filespace name)

but the other one

dsmc query filespace -fromn=node_w2k

doesn't on node_linux

Can anyone help me please ?

I need to be sure that it is impossible ;) so if it is pliz let me now !

Thanxx a lot !

With every version of ADSM/TSM/ITSM/etc that I've used (since 2.1), you _can not_ restore files across platforms. I don't know if they changed the rules for the linux client, but this would be a new thing that I think they'd advertise for if they did.
