Recover and restore tsm from lto library system to standalone drive system

Our current production environment uses a 3584 lto library. I had to restore a previous TSM snapshot on a test system to attempt to restore some data without disrupting the current production environment. The issue is that the test system only has a scsi attached standalone single drive to do this and when we try to do a restore, we keep getting errors looking for device smc0 (a library). The devconfig was modified to just use the standalone 3580 drive. Is it possible to even do this with just a standalone drive coming from an 3584 library environment?

Do you define a manual library in your devconfig?

Yes, we did define the manaul library in the devconfig. It is not a library though, just a standalone 3580 drive if that matters.
