Query Event and Query schedule return no results

turned a tape into scratch that I think probably had data on it is my guess,

You can't change a private tape with data to scratch. You'd have to relabel it with overwrite=yes or do a delete volume discarddata=yes.

What error did he get when trying to restore?

Ok. Good to know.
He didn't get an error. From the TSM GUI he clicked on "Restore"> File Level> Data and from there he noticed 3 folders missing.

I did 2 things between the time he saw the folders to when they were gone.
1. Ran backup incremental - Canceled it after about 2 hours.
3. Ran 'backup stgpool TAPEPOOL OFFSITE' - Canceled it after about 2 days.

Were they there previously or was it the first time checking? If it's the first time checking, it's possible they never got backed up.

He stated that he knows the folders were there on Friday, the are folders that have been there for quite sometime, and on Monday they were not there.
